| WebQual - www.webqual.co.uk
Some websites are comfortable to be in and create a positive experience, encouraging interaction and involvement and promoting customer retention. The quality of a website is a subjective judgement in the hands of customers. WebQual is an approach for assessing quality perceptions from the website user's perspective. Research at the University of Bath has shown that user perceptions of website quality fall into three dimensions: usability, information quality, and service quality. The WebQual questionnaire has been developed and validated using online bookshops, auction sites, mobile Internet news services, and public sector sites. WebQual can be used to benchmark your site against your competitors', to compare your site before and after a redesign project, and as an input into the web site development process (for example, how to strengthen perceptions of trust). The detailed WebQual analysis is summarized into a single WebQual index, allowing you to compare your site against best of breed. |
